Iíve Loved You for Ten Thousand Years

by Barbara Robinson

Iíve loved you for ten thousand years

Perhaps a thousand more

Youíll never have another peer

For I have shut the door

Raw forces form celestial winds

Your riveting embrace

My heart, my soul they beat as one

When you are in my space

Such speaking eyes that whisper back

They make my ardor soar

Will always keep my heart on track

And asking you for more

Iíve loved you for ten thousand years

Maybe ten thousand more

Thawed sources of celestial tears

Arenít really keeping score

Those deep pool eyes hold my embrace

Pure magic is your smile

So linger here my masculine grace

And stay with me a while

My heart, my soul they beat as one

Within my inner core

Your primal powersí eternal windsí

Sweet whispers make me soar

Iíve loved you for ten thousand years

Perhaps ten thousand more

Sound love is deep and flows through time

And will for ever more
